Engine Assembler

ABOVE AWARD WAGES / GREAT WORKING CONDITIONS/CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Are you a second year or third year apprentice, qualified mechanic or knowledgeable about engine components and functionality? Then we have a great role that may just suit your talents.

Original Engines Co, based in the outer eastern suburbs, remanufactures engines back to their original OEM condition using state-of-the art-machinery, OEM Components and a great team of staff. We currently have a vacancy for an Engine Assembler to assemble current model remanufactured engines. At times you may also be required to help out in other areas such as the Cylinder Head section.

Main duties required include:

– Engine Assembling
– Conrod Resizing & Machining
– Engine Dismantling & Reporting
– Fault Analysis

Other duties that may arise:

– Cylinder Head Reconditioning
– Crankshaft Finishing
– Boring and Honing
– Block Machining & Testing

Our company is engaged in a global engine remanufacturing program for one of the major car brands and are restructuring for expansion. This makes for exciting times and great employment opportunities within our company.

The applicant must have experience with engine assembly or mechanical assembly components and must be able to follow strict instruction procedures with attention to detail.

– Experience with engine assembly or mechanical assembly components
– Excellent communication skills
– Open to learning new skills and complementing existing skills
– Ability to work to meet deadlines
– Strong attention to detail
– Appreciation of quality workmanship
– Reliable – self-motivated attitude

An in-house developed training program will assist the successful applicant in performing the above duties. Automotive Trades Person

Duties can include:

– Engine Assembly

– Boring and Honing
– Block Machining & Testing
