Ford Australia’s Barra inline-six engine was initially designed for the BA Ford Falcon line-up, which was a significant improvement on the Intech inline-six engines found in the Falcon range since 1988.
The Barra engine was standard with DOHC and VCT, seeing a significant jump in performance, reliability and economy from the Falcons of yester-year. Over its lifecycle from 2002 to 2016, the Barra engine was seen in the Ford Falcon, Ford Territory and 6-cylinder FPV models. It also saw derivatives including the turbocharged variation and the LPG-powered EcoLPI variation.
Original Engines Co provide engine remanufacturing and retail purchasing facilities for Ford Falcon and Ford Territory models based on the FG – FGX platform. We are able to provide these facilities for the Naturally Aspirated, Turbocharged and LPG variants.
